We sure had fun today! We stayed for 4 hours and saw almost every exhibit.
The highlights:
--WOSU newsroom effects for TV using the green screen. His favorite was making me shake my bootie while he flamed me with the "fire" special effect. He also put me in front of penguins, blew me off the screen with a hurricane, and chased me out of a desert with a tornado!
--Progress rides on the rocket (someone left a bunch of dimes), talking in the telephone booth, and doing a 1960s newscast. He didn't like when the real news clips interrupted his important report on pooping in the potty.
--A weather show where he shouted out that he LOVES tornadoes! Got to walk in a cloud made when water got really cold touching liquid nitrogen. The kids got to play in it and stick their head in the trashcan to get a better look. Explained to the poor ladies behind us how tornadoes work.
--Played with water cannons and climbed inside a little yellow submarine at the Ocean exhibit-- where he got very wet!
--Went outside to see the big machines in the special construction exhibit. Sat in a front loader and got a neat yellow hat! It started to rain and they had to close it.
--Yelled in an echo machine by imitating the sounds he was hearing (his imitations of echos echoed!)
--Played in the Gadgets room by shooting balls out of a cannon and watching them roll down a maze, using magnets on a television screen, and watching strobe lights.
--Shooting water cannons in the little kid space and playing in the water again.
--Walked in late for a show about bugs, but just in time to answer the woman's question about what their favorite bugs were. Colin pipes up--"Chickens!"
